Since I found this homemade no-knead recipe my family has been asking for it a LOT! I’ve also been baking (have one proofing as I’m writing this post) some loaves and offering them to friends as a holiday gift and the requests keep coming in.
If you like traditional bread with a crusty topping this is for you.
In a bowl mix 3 cups flour, 1 + 1/2 cup warm water, 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp yeast. Mix everything with a spoon/spatula (I use wooden spoons) and let it rest for 3h.
Preheat the oven to 450F with the pan you’re using to cook the bread in inside the oven so it will be really warm when you place the bread dough inside; when preheating is done take the pan (I use a Dutch oven) out of the oven, place the bread dough inside (you might need a bit of flour just to make it a round shape and not sticky texture) cover with the lid and bake for 30 min.
After that time remove the lid and cook for an additional 15 minutes to crispy it up na give it a perfect golden color.
Recommend waiting 15 min to slice it if you can
