It was a very exciting week of training and free community workshops between Thursday February 5, 2015 and Sunday February 8, 2015 as 9th Degree Black Belt Kumu Michelle Manu taught self defense techniques and personal development. February 6, 2015, Kumu Michelle taught her Free Community Service Workshop for women. The event was well attended with more than 50 woman attending the event. Everyone shared with the group from their experiences and everyone left knowing a little bit more about who they are and how to survive an attack if they are so misfortunate as to have one. Kumu Michelle also taught traditional Hula and shared other aspects of Hawaiian culture.

On Saturday Morning February 7, 2015 Kumu Michelle took a moment to teach the kids and the "Keikis" loved every moment of their time with Kumu Michelle
Saturday afternoon featured a works shop on Kaihewlu Lua empty hand technique and an introduction to Hawaiian weapons of Lua. regardless of your system, Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Jiu Jitsu, MMA etc this was a great workshop that everyone could take something from.
Sunday February 8, 2015 marked the final workshop for 2015 at RSMA for Kumu Michelle. Here the focus was traditional Hawaiian Lua Weapons and how to successfully deploy them in combat. Students loved this and everyone could see the sparkle in Kumu Michelle's eyes as she taught a variety of weapons.
also not all work as Kumu Michelle got the opportunity to sit and talk and enjoy the company of a number of RSMA students at a variety of different venues! All and all this was a fabulous visit and RSMA looks forward to hosting Kumu Michelle again in 2015!
